Council No. 81 · Knight Masons
A fraternity of Royal Arch Masons dedicated to the Christian chivalric degrees of the Knight Masonry — uniting faith, honor, and brotherhood.
Our Story
The Knight Masons is a fraternal and Christian Masonic body that confers three degrees rooted in medieval chivalry and the traditions of Royal Arch Masonry. Membership is open to Master Masons in good standing who have received the Royal Arch Degree.
Charles Asa Brown Council #81 proudly carries forward the legacy of its namesake, honoring the values of integrity, fellowship, and service that have defined our Council since its founding.
We are chartered under the Grand Council of Knight Masons in Ireland, upholding the ancient standards and traditions of Knight Masonry as preserved by the Irish constitution.
The Degrees
Knight Masonry confers three degrees that complete the arch of Masonic knowledge, each building upon the lessons of Royal Arch Masonry with Christian themes of valor and service.
The first degree teaches the importance of faithfulness, courage, and the duty to defend truth — symbolized by the sword of justice and righteousness.
The second degree commemorates the return of the Israelites from captivity and the rebuilding of the Temple — a lesson in perseverance and fidelity.
The third degree completes the series, uniting the lessons of the preceding degrees and sealing the obligations of Christian knighthood and fraternal charity.
